Spring Lake is a unique seaside town, offering visitors a break from the hustle and bustle of their day-to-day life. Here you can enjoy 2 miles of picturesque beaches along with the longest non-commercial boardwalk in the state. There are a number of beautiful and historic parks near our Bed and Breakfast in Spring Lake, NJ that are perfect for spending time outside with family and friends. Divine Park surrounds Spring Lake, which is actually spring-fed and is a gorgeous place to spend a sunny day. The path around the lake offers beautiful views of the lake as well as the native birds and fish. The wooden bridges in Divine Park are frequent sites for wedding pictures.

Just south of the town of Seaside Park lies one of the natural treasures of The Jersey Shore, Island Beach State Park. This park makes its home on nine miles of natural barrier island and features some of the most breathtaking scenery in the state. With its goldenrod-covered sand dunes, bay-side wetlands, beach plum, and black cherry, Island Beach State Park is a breath of fresh air for those hoping to escape the overdeveloped areas of the shore.

Allaire State Park New Jersey is about a 20-minute drive from Spring Lake and is perhaps best known for its historic, restored, 19th-century iron-making town, Allaire Village, and its antique steam trains on the Pine Creek Railroad. The Manasquan River winds through the park offering a habitat for more than 200 species of wildflowers and other trees and plants, as well as native wildlife. The diversity of the wildlife and natural beauty of the park draw canoeists, fisherman, hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders from all over to enjoy the numerous trails in the park. Not far away, the Manasquan Reservoir offers a variety of outdoor activities for everyone and even offers canoe and paddleboat rentals.

If you’re looking for something romantic, take a cruise through the inland waters of the local rivers or Barnegat Bay. The River Belle and River Queen are Mississippi riverboat replicas offering sightseeing, dining, and dancing in style on the water. You can even go on murder mystery cruises and special New Year’s Eve cruises. It’s a popular attraction, so it’s always a good idea to make reservations.
